Mercoledì 6 Novembre ho tenuto un workshop di paper cutting presso la galleria d'arte SpA Società per l'Arte di Andria, in Puglia. L'incontro è stato organizzato nell'ambito del progetto di Officine Fabriano, volto a promuovere nelle scuole la carta ed i suoi molteplici utilizzi, dalla pittura, alla stampa, al design.
On November Wednesday 6, I held a workshop of paper cutting in the art gallery SpA Society for Art in Andria, Puglia, Italy. The meeting was organized as part of the Officine Fabriano, aimed at promoting in schools the paper and its multiple uses, from painting, printing, design.
L'interesse all'evento è stato molto alto, ci sono stati infatti 30 docenti iscritti ed altettanti 30 che avrebbero voluto partecipare, ma ovviamente impossibili da ospitare per motivi di spazio!
Interest in the event has been very high, there were in fact 30 teachers registred and an equal number 30 who wanted to participate, but obviously impossible to hold for space reasons!
Lungo le pareti della galleria i suggestivi ritratti paper cut dell'artista Daniele Geniale circondano i tavoli dove lavoreremo.

La cosa che più mi ha gratificato di questa esperienza è stato vedere tante persone entusiaste in una cosa che non mai avevano provato; è bastato dare loro un piccolo input per vederli interpretare e personalizzare un mio disegno fornito come esempio per l'intaglio...
The thing I was most gratified of this experience was to see so many enthusiastic people in something that had never before tried, it was enough to give them a little input to see them interpret and customize one of my drawings provided as an example for carving...
Ringrazio quindi Officine Fabriano per l'ideazione di questo progetto e per averci fornito tutto il materiale cartaceo, i partecipanti: per i loro sorrisi, le strette di mano, le domande... Non per ultimo Giorgia di Società per l'Arte che mi ha contattato, ospitato e organizzato il workshop, ad Antonio per i suoi consigli sugli obbiettivi per la mia Canon e a Galya, per la dolcezza e la vitalità.
E adesso, si torna al lavoro!!
