Workshop {chez Gaia #3}

Gli ultimi giorni di Gennaio sono quelli più freddi dell'anno... Qui è davvero grigio e c'è il vento molto forte! Ma io vi voglio raccontare di Sabato scorso a Bologna, che c'era il sole, e tante ragazze che hanno raggiunto casa di Gaia per passare una giornata insieme a fare i miei "giochi di carta"! :)

The last days of January are the coldest of the year ... Here is really gray and the wind is very strong! But I want to tell you last Saturday in Bologna, which was sunny, and many girls who have reached the home of Gaia to spend a day together to make my "paper games"! :)

  
Ed ecco ancora una volta i tavoli invasi di carta, forbici, colla e bisturi! Ancora una volta risate, chiacchiere e soprattutto tanta voglia di stare insieme!!Ah, le mie "alunne", come sono brave!! :)
Tra poco sarà S. Valentino! Così abbiamo io e Gaia abbiamo pensato di dedicare questo incontro all'amore... Ho preparato il disegno di un cuore da intagliare, ed un'illustrazione un po' ironica ma, per me, anche seria: cosa sarebbe quel "love" senza un "me"? Cosa c'è di più importante di amare ed essere amati?

And here once again invaded the tables of paper, scissors, glue and a scalpel! Again laughter, chatter and especially the desire to be together!
Ah, my "students", as they are good! ;)
Soon it will be S. Valentine's Day! So Gaia and I we have decided to dedicate this meeting to love... I made a drawing of a heart to carve, and a little ironic illustration but, for me, also serious, what would be the "love" without "me"? What's more important to love and be loved?

  
Gaia come sempre ci vizia con la sua ospitalità ed un sacco di cose buone! Noi siamo davvero contente di stare a casa sua in un'atmosfera così piacevole!

Gaia as always cuddles us with its ospitality and a lot of good things!

C'era anche una buonissima focaccia pugliese, ma la foto mi è venuta davvero pessima, quindi accontetativi del mio giudizio di golosa! ;)

There was also a delicious Puglia flatbread, but my picture is really bad, so be content of my judgment! ;) 
 

Sono davvero entusiasta di questa esperienza... Adoro queste giornate tra donne (!); e il riconoscimento più grande è vedere che vi divertite, che siete felici e soprattutto soddisfatte!!
Grazie per ogni messaggio, foto e commento che mi lasciate, questo è davvero importante per me!
Le richieste per i workshop sono infatti in crescita!

Poster DIY

Non so voi, ma a me piace decorare la casa con stampe, illustrazioni e grafica... Mi piace cambiare la loro disposizione, aggiungerne di nuove, giocare con le forme ed i colori... E naturalmente, inventare dei DIY per realizzare delle piccole affiches!

I don't know about you, but I like to decorate the house with prints, illustrations and graphics ... I like to change them, add new ones, playing with shapes and colors ... And of course, invent DIY to make small posters!

Oggi ho pensato ad una frase. Sono convinta che dietro un percorso creativo, un cambiamento importante, sia fondamentale essere positivi ed avere grande motivazione... Purtroppo, certi giorni, non è facile. Allora forse scrivere a chiare lettere che sì, "ogni giorno è un buon giorno", può aiutare a ricordare che...

Today I thought of a sentence. I'm convinced that behind a creative journey, an important change, it's essential to be positive and have great motivation... Unfortunately, on some days, it's not easy. Then maybe write clearly that yes, "every day is a good day", it can help to remember that...

... è un buon giorno per sorridere,
è un buon giorno per essere creativi
è un buon giorno per migliorare,
è un buon giorno per scegliere la felicità.
Nonostante tutto.

Per realizzare questa affiche è bastato scrivere la frase al computer con un font bold a circa 250 punti; stampare, riportare le lettere con la carta copiativa sul cartoncino e ritagliare con il bisturi o il cutter.
Incollare su un foglio bianco e mettere in cornice.
Un'ottima e più sobria soluzione è quella di usare un solo colore (e non 9 come ho fatto io!! :-P) e stampare le lettere direttamente sul cartoncino.
Oggi per me è un buon giorno. E per voi? 

To realize this posters it is enough to write a sentence on computer with a bold font at about 250 points, print, and bring the letters with the tracing paper onto the cardboard and cut out with a scalpel or craft knife. 
Glue on a white sheet and put in the frame. 
An excellent and more sober solution is to use only one color (and not 9 as I did! :-P) and print the letters directly on the cardboard. 
Today is a good day for me. And for you?

Da diverso tempo piove, e le giornate sono davvero grigie... Ma il colore dentro di noi c'è tutto l'anno e si chiama creatività, craft e naturalmente, carta!
Allora oggi vi presento un altro dei libri presente nella mia libreria: si tratta di "Cartes", di Fifi Mandirac.
Non so se ve l'ho mai detto... Ma -adoro- il gusto tutto francese nell'utilizzo del colore e i loro toni aciduli.
Fifi è una grafica bravissima, realizza bellissimi pattern per cartoleria ma anche biglietti personalizzati per eventi e deliziose affiches. Il suo blog è uno dei primi che ho iniziato a seguire! :)
Nel libro troverete tantissime idee carinissime per decorare con la carta in ogni occasione, e, soprattutto, 48 fogli con i pattern di Fifi, tra cui quelli che vedete nella copertina.
Se piove, questo weekend, date spazio alla vostra voglia di creare! Io lo farò a Bologna da Gaia, e voi?

From several time it rains, and the days are really gray ... But the color is inside us all year and it's called creativity, craft, and of course, paper! 
So today I present another of this book in my library: it's "Cartes", by Fifi Mandirac. 
I don't know if I've ever said ... But I -adore- the French taste of use of the colors and their tones sour. 
Fifi is a talented graphic, she creates lovely patterns for stationery but also personalized cards for events and pretty affiches. Her blog is one of the first that I started to follow! :)
In the book you will find lots of cute ideas for decorating with the paper at every occasions, and, above all, 48 sheets with patterns by Fifi, including the ones you see on the cover. 
If it rains this weekend, give space to your desire to create! I will do in Bologna to Gaia, and you?
