Custom coffee table diy

Eccomi!!! Che cos'è questo piano azzurro? Ma il mio nuovo coffee table davanti al divano! :)
Dove abito c'è un rigattiere di mobili vintage, alcuni veramente belli, ma non propriamente economico... Così alla fine ho optato per questo modello di Ikea, perchè è comunque in legno (e no in truciolare), ma soprattutto, pronto da dipingere, senza dover scartavetrare o passare aggrappante! ;)

Where I live there is a junk dealer of vintage furniture, some really beautiful, but not exactly cheap... So in the end I opted for this model of Ikea, because it is still made ​​of wood (and no chipboard), but above all, ready to paint without sanding or pass the primer! ;)

Ecco come si presenta nel mio piccolo living! Ero molto indecisa su quale colore fare... E farlo rosa o corallo avevo timpre che mi avrebbe stancato... Anche se poi, alla fine, basterebbe ridipingerlo! :-P
Comunque: avevo già degli smalti a mia disposiazione, quindi ho utilizzato quelli!
Come ho fatto?

Here is how you see it in my small living room! I was very undecided about which color do... And make it pink or coral I was afraid that I would get tired... Even if, in the end, it would be enough to repaint it! :-P However, I had already glazes available to me, so I used those!
How did I do?

Mi sono procurata un pennello di setola, smalto azzurro chiaro e panna (con cui ho ottenuto un secondo tono di azzurro), scotch di carta, matita e righello.
Con l'aiuto del righello ho tracciato un triangolo a circa 1/3 della lunghezza del tavolino. Ho protetto con lo scotch di carta e iniziato a dipingere la parte più ampia con l'azzurro.

I purchased a bristle brush, enamel light blue and cream (I've got a second tone of light blue), masking tape, pencil and ruler.  
With the help of the ruler I drew a triangle about 1/3 of the length of the table. I have protected with masking tape and started to paint the widest part with the light blue.

 
Ho quindi aspettato che fosse almeno asciutto al tatto il colore (circa 30 minuti) e mascherato l'altro lato del triangolo, quindi dipinto con il secondo tono di azzurro.
Una volta asciutto, protetto di nuovo e dipinto con lo smalto panna il triangolo.
Il giorno dopo ho dato una seconda mano di colore, ed eccolo qua! 

So I at least expected it to be dry to the touch color (about 30 minutes) and masked the other side of the triangle, then painted with the second tone of blue.  
Once dry, protected again and painted with the enamel cream the triangle.  
The next day I gave it a second coat of color, and here it is! 

Mi piaceva l'idea di avere un tavolino "grande", dove poter mettere tante tazze l'inverno, o poter accostare diversi libri e oggetti...

I liked the idea of having a table "large", where you can put many cups winter, or you can to put various books and objects...

 ... e, soprattutto, stare in compagnia e condividere passioni e chiacchiere con qualche amica! :)

Ho fatto leggere ai miei bambini libri pop-up, con i buchi o le flap sin da piccoli, all'inizio qualcosa veniva strappato, ma ben presto tutti e due hanno imparato a rispettare, amare e custodire i loro libri...
Sono molto orgogliosa di questo! :)

I did read to my children's pop-up books, with holes or windows from an early age, at the beginning something was torn, but soon they have learned to respect, love and care for their books... 
I am very proud of this! :)

My washi tape {Contest}

E sono sempre l'ultima, sempre all'ultimo momento!! Però ci sono anche le mie foto per il contest di Anabella!!! :)

Il contest chiedeva di mostrare in che modo organizziamo i nostri adorati nastrini... Una delle cose che a me diverte maggiormente fare, è cambiare destinazione d'uso agli oggetti!
Un'alzatina in ceramica mette in bella vista meravigliosi colori e pattern...

The contest asked to show how we organize our beloved tapes... One of the things that amuses me most to do, is change the intended use of the objects!  
Ceramic cakestand puts in plain sight wonderful colors and patterns...

...e piccole campane di vetro possono custodire quelli più preziosi dalla polvere!

...and small bells of glass can keep the most valuable ones from the dust!

  
Mi piace avere i washi tape così organizzati, senza riunirli per colore, perchè mi piace come il caso, delle volte, riesce a creare delle combinazioni di colore inaspettate e a cui forse non avremmo pensato...

I like to have the washi tape so organized, without bringing them together by color, because I like how the case, at times, is able to create unexpected combinations of color and to which we might not have thought...

Soprattutto, sono sempre pronti all'uso per decorare il nostro muro con quanto più ci ispira al momento! ^^

Above all, they are always ready to decorate our wall with what inspires us most at the moment! ^^
