Vintage flowers cards

Iniziamo subito la settimana con un bel DIY, cosa ne dite?! :)
Prima però volevo ringraziarvi tantissimo per i commenti al precedente post e per il vostro affetto... Grazie di cuore, vi ho risposto una per una!
Allora, con il progetto di oggi volevo aggiungere un tocco vintage alla mia casa... Adoro le stampe botaniche di fiori! In attesa di trovarne alcune in qualche mercatino, mi sono arrangiata scansionando delle immagini da un libro e le ho rielaborate al computer cambiando il tratto nero in diversi colori...
vediamo cosa serve!

But first I wanted to thank you so much for the comments to the previous post and for your affection ...Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have answered one by one!  
Then, with the project today I wanted to add a vintage touch to my home... I love the botanical prints of flowers! Waiting to find some in some flea market, I arranged the images by scanning a book and I reworked on computer by changing the black line in different colors ...  
See what we need!

Cornici (le mie sono Nyttja di Ikea), carta da scrapbooking, immagini botaniche (stampe originali sarebbe il meglio, ma anche fotocopie, o vostri disegni, perchè no!); forbici con lama decorativa (cortesia di mia figlia Giada ;) ), matita, righello, gomma, washi tape o colla per fissare, tutto qua.

Frames (my are Nyttja di Ikea), scrapbooking paper, botanical images (original prints would be the best, but also photocopies, or your drawings, why not!) with decorative scissors blade (courtesy of my daughter Giada ;) ), pencil, ruler, eraser, washi tape or glue to secure, that's all.

Per ogni immagine che avete segnatevi una leggera traccia con matita e righello per non andare storti con la forbice. Creerete così un bordo decorato all'immagine come se fosse una foto vecchia... 

For each image you have, write a slight trace with pencil and ruler to not go crooked with the scissors. So will create a border decorated the image as if it were an old photo...

E, per la serie "Cosa fa una blogger per fotografare quello che fa" ;), una volta che avete ritagliato tutte le vostre immagini, abbinatele alle carte da scrapbooking... La foto finale sarebbe invece questa qui sotto...

And, for the series "What does a blogger to photograph what she does";) , once you have cut all your images, match them with scrapbooking cards... The final picture would rather this below...

Io ho fissato le immagini dei fiori con del washi tape, in modo da non rovinare la carta decorata sotto.
Adesso non rimane che metterle in una cornice e sistemarle! ^^ 

I have attached pictures of the flowers with the washi tape, so as not to spoil the decorated paper below.  
Now all that remains is to put them in a frame and place! ^^ 

Ecco fatto! La  craspedia è la stessa che avete visto in questo post... Non sapevo che durasse così tanto, fantastico!

My workspace {and about changes of rooms, and changes of life}

Sono illustratrice da 12 anni, ormai. Da sempre, in un "home office". E' un lavoro che posso svolgere ovunque, mi bastano dei fogli, una matita, ed una connessione internet.
Ma in realtà ci vuole anche almeno un bel tavolo, la stampante/scanner, una cassettiera per i fogli e gli album, librerie o mensole per organizzare il materiale... Perchè alla fine non è che mi accontento di disegnare e basta, ma mi rende felice tutto quello che è handmade! :)

I'm an illustrator to 12 years, now. Always in a "home office". It's a job that I can do anywhere, I only need the sheets, a pencil, and an internet connection. 

But in reality, it takes at least a big table, the printer/scanner, a chest of drawers for sheets and albums, bookcases or shelves to organize material... Because in the end I don't settle for draw and nothing else, but it makes me happy everything is handmade! :)

Direi che, con il blog, si è aggiunta la necessità di avere un posto fisso dove scattare le foto. Ho la fortuna di abitare in una casa a 10 minuti dal mare, piena di luce e calore, ma la stanza dove avevo prima lo studio era, ironia della sorte, la più buia della casa, perchè coperta dal tetto del patio...

I would say that with the blog, we added the need to have a permanent place where taking pics. I am fortunate to live in a house 10 minutes from the sea, full of light and heat, but the room where I have before the studio was, ironically, the darkest of the house, because it is covered by the roof of the patio...

Questa dove lavoro ora era la stanza dei miei figli: di grandezza giusta per Giada, ma con l'arrivo di Sebastian decisamente piccola; i bambini non giocavano mai nella loro stanza! :-/
E la nostra casa non è grande! 

This where I work now was the room of my children: the right size for Giada, but with the arrival of Sebastian quite small; the kids ever not playing in their room! :-/
And our home is not big!
 

Tutto questo, unito al fatto di aver attraversato un lungo periodo di grande dolore e smarrimento emotivo, dovuto alla mia separazione coniugale, mi ha fatto decidere di cambiare la disposizione delle stanze.

In questo blog si parla poco della mia vita privata. Per mesi mi sono chiesta come affrontare il discorso... Ancora, non è proprio facile. Spero possiate capire.

In genere nei blog si mostra solo una realtà felice, dove tutto funziona, dove tutto è bello... Si scrivono le notizie buone ed i successi...

Da un lato è giusto così, la rete è un posto meraviglioso, la vita, è una cosa meravigliosa! :)

Io stessa sono una irriducibile del "bicchiere mezzo pieno"...

In ogni caso, credo che chi legge quotidianamente i blog, voglia sapere qualcosa della persona che sta dall'altra parte del monitor... Se è sposata, se ha figli, che cosa fa e dove vive... E quindi mi sembrava giusto dirlo, ecco.
Senza fare un post strappalacrime, perchè di quelle ne sono state già versate abbastanza.

All this, coupled with the fact I had gone through a long period of great pain and emotional bewilderment, due to my marital separation, I did decide to change the arrangement of the rooms.
In this blog we talk a little about my private life. For months I wondered how to talk about it... Still, it is not really easy. I hope you can understand.

There are blogs where just want to show a happy reality, where everything works and where everything is beautiful... We write good news and successes...
On one side is right, internet is a wonderful place, life, is a wonderful thing! :)
I 'm one of the irreducible of the "glass half full" ... (it's an italian way of saying)

In any case, I think that anyone who daily reads the blogs, want to know something about the person who is on the other side of the monitor... If she is married, if she have children, what does and where live... And then seemed right say it, that's all.
Without doing a tearjerker post, because those have been already pour enough.
 

I bambini ora si accendono lo stereo e ballano nella loro stanza. Costruiscono tende improvvisate con lenzuola e coperte, spargono per terra fogli e pennarelli (anche se quello continuano a farlo pure in studio >:-) ...)

Io ho il mio spazio pieno di luce.

Sono felice con i miei bambini, e loro sono felici con me. Questo è tutto quello che mi basta.

Children now turn on the stereo and dance in their room. They build improvised tents with sheets and blankets, spread on the ground paper and markers (although that continue to do so in the studio >:-) ...)
I have my own space full of light.
That is all that I need.

  

Adesso, non resta che cominciare...!

Che cosa farò nei prossimi giorni?! Ve lo mostrerò presto! :)

Workshop per "Baby Creative Lab"

Non mi pare vero di scrivere questo post... Perchè siamo agli inizi di luglio, ed ho già avuto qualche domanda per organizzare workshop!
E allora, via si parte! :)
Il laboratorio si svolgerà nel contesto di "Baby Creative lab", una giornata ed uno spazio per le famiglie (ma non solo) dove poter condividere delle attività insieme... Mamme, con i vostri bambini faremo un'illustrazione con i cartoncini colorati per la cameretta! Un gelato di nuvolette vi potrebbe piacere? :)
Vi aspetto domenica 7 Settembre 2014 a Somma Lombardo (VA) dalle 10 alle 18!

It does not seem real to write this post ... Why are we at the beginning of July, and I've already had a few questions for organizing the workshop! 
And then, let's start! :) 
The workshop will take place in the context of "Baby Creative lab", a day and a space for families (but not only) where you can share activities together ... Moms, with your children will make an illustration with colored cardboards for the bedroom! An ice cream with clouds you might like? :) 
I'll be waiting Sunday, September 7, 2014 in Somma Lombardo (VA) from 10 to 18!
