Paper cut illustration work in progress

E tu, o meglio, e voi, come state? :)
Vi abbraccio...

Someone may be wondering what happened to the "giochi di carta" (card games)... In effect, before I had several job to the computer, then the change rooms at home, resulting in cosmic disorder ;) ... In short, all this to me taken away from the blog a long time ... But you don't think that I'm not cutting out more!
I have a very demanding job to be delivered in a few days, and that will keep me still far away from the web (but not much) and I can't wait to show you!
And you, how are you? :)

I embrace you...

Little girl portraits

Since you came along, my life has radically changed, you've changed me, and made more sweet and strong at the same time.

You made me become a "mother", that I did not even have a vague and distant idea of becoming, of what it meant to and how it would be... But luckily you taught this to me!
One after another, the years have flown by, and maybe I let them get away too quickly...

... and to take pictures, you're already becoming good at ! :)

Custom coffee table diy

Eccomi!!!

Here I am! What is this blue table? But my new coffee table in front of the couch! :)
Where I live there is a junk dealer of vintage furniture, some really beautiful, but not exactly cheap... So in the end I opted for this model of Ikea, because it is still made of wood (and no chipboard), but above all, ready to paint without sanding or pass the primer! ;)

Comunque: avevo già degli smalti a mia disposiazione, quindi ho utilizzato quelli!
Come ho fatto?

Here is how you see it in my small living room! I was very undecided about which color do... And make it pink or coral I was afraid that I would get tired... Even if, in the end, it would be enough to repaint it! :-P However, I had already glazes available to me, so I used those!
How did I do?

I purchased a bristle brush, enamel light blue and cream (I've got a second tone of light blue), masking tape, pencil and ruler.
With the help of the ruler I drew a triangle about 1/3 of the length of the table. I have protected with masking tape and started to paint the widest part with the light blue.

So I at least expected it to be dry to the touch color (about 30 minutes) and masked the other side of the triangle, then painted with the second tone of blue.
Once dry, protected again and painted with the enamel cream the triangle.
The next day I gave it a second coat of color, and here it is!

I liked the idea of having a table "large", where you can put many cups winter, or you can to put various books and objects...

... e, soprattutto, stare in compagnia e condividere passioni e chiacchiere con qualche amica! :)
Buon weekend a tutti!

... and most importantly, enjoy the company and share passions and chat with some friends! :)
Happy weekend to all!

Today, return the appointment with the column "I libri dei piccoli" curated by me and Sara! Since the summer is upon us (although here there is a time for wolves ...), we talk about sea, this beautiful and elegant pop-up book, a gift from my brother to Sebastian for Christmas.

In this book we do a real dive into the sea, traveling along with the sailing ship "Ocean" and his crew, because the pages open and...

...we are immersed in a fascinating underwater scenery, where adults and children can get lost among a thousand details to discover!

I did read to my children's pop-up books, with holes or windows from an early age, at the beginning something was torn, but soon they have learned to respect, love and care for their books...
I am very proud of this! :)

The book is published by Corraini, a publisher in which each book is special, from the graphics, to the project, to the illustrations!
Here the books reviewed here by me and here the books presented by Sara!
See you soon and good start of the week! :)

My washi tape {Contest}

E sono sempre l'ultima, sempre all'ultimo momento!! :)

And I'm always the last one, at the last moment! But there are also my pics for the contest Anabella! :)

The contest asked to show how we organize our beloved tapes... One of the things that amuses me most to do, is change the intended use of the objects!
Ceramic cakestand puts in plain sight wonderful colors and patterns...

...and small bells of glass can keep the most valuable ones from the dust!

I like to have the washi tape so organized, without bringing them together by color, because I like how the case, at times, is able to create unexpected combinations of color and to which we might not have thought...

Above all, they are always ready to decorate our wall with what inspires us most at the moment! ^^

E voi avete partecipato?! Dai, dai, c'è un bellissimo premio, fate come me, oggi siete ancora in tempo!!! ;)

And you have attended?! Come on, come on, there's a wonderful prize, do like me, now you still have time! ;)

Home entrance

It's been several days after publication of the last post... I've always raced in life, with consequent mistakes, I already had in mind for some time to stop for a moment, take things slowly, in other words, TAKE the time.
I'm arranging the house, which had definitely need to be to be painted, and now I am dedicated to decorating the rooms. I've always loved interior design, but when the house was bought and furnished, I never had time to think, to feel, think, with the consequent result that many things I wrong them, or just not on my mind clearly what styles match my personality...

These days I also thought about the blog, at the new projects, and in general I would like it to become more of a "diary" of my days, where that I show you, it's not a photo shoot or something built, but the reality! Now you understand why this need to adapt also the home to these new requirements that are both of life than of business.
So, let's start from the entrance of the house, revenue? :)

Our home is only 10 minutes from the sea: the straw bags in our house you see in all seasons (almost;)) because even in the winter, I have to say that compared to those of Milan are very, very :) milder, if the weather permits it is always a good opportunity to let the kids play outside and take a walk by the sea!
I love the wicker seating: outdoor and indoor use, indifferently! However, to avoid the effect of the "beach house", the decor in general is a linear and modern.

I have found that I like the yellow-ocher! :) The cabinet and shelves are one of the things present before the restyling but with the colors and furnishings earlier was not valued.
I then added some shades of turquoise with ceramics and vases and glassware.

A sculpture in clay and raku technique (without any pretension!) made by me in high school... ;)
